The AQA A Level Business qualification has no previous learning requirements. Any requirements for entry to a course based on this specification are set at the discretion of schools and colleges. Paper 3: Investigating Business in a Competitive Environment

Overview of Content

Assesses content across all four themes. Questions are drawn from local, national and global contexts. A pre-released context document is issued in November of the previous year, focusing on a broad context such as an industry or market. The paper then explores the broad context and at least one strand within it, such as a particular business.

Overview of Assessment

Written examination. The paper comprises two sections. Students answer all questions from both sections. Each section includes unseen stimulus materials with quantitative and qualitative evidence. Students cannot take any research or investigation data from the pre-release into the examination. Sections A and B each comprise one data response question broken down into a number of parts, including one extended open-response question.
