Can I resit A Level Maths?
Anyone can resit their A Level Maths exam with MME exams. Resits are for anyone who failed their A level Maths exam on their first attempt or wants to improve their grade.

A Level Maths FAQs
Your A Level Maths qualification is made up of 3 papers containing topics from: Pure Mathematics, Statistics, and Mechanics. Each of these papers contributes 33.3% towards your A Level qualification and you need a sound knowledge of all three to pass the A Level.
We recommend that you have grades of 4/C or above in GCSE Maths (or equivalent) before booking your A Level Maths exam.
Our A Level Maths exam is the same as those sat by schools and colleges. So, upon successful completion of your exam, you’ll receive the same qualification as you would have if you had sat your A Level Maths exam at school or college.
We’ll book your A Level Maths exam at an examination centre near you which you can reach conveniently. You will complete the A Level Maths exam in person and under exam conditions, as you would at school or college. This is also true if you are resitting A Level Maths.
A Level Maths exams typically run throughout May and June of each year. The next available exams are in the summer of 2025, with exact dates to be confirmed.
Resitting Maths A Level is usually worth it if failed the exams first time round or you require a higher grade than you previously achieved. Universities typically require you to have minimum grades in chosen subjects before they offer you a place on an undergraduate course, and Maths is one of the most common subjects taken by students who apply to University. Taking an A Level Maths resit could be necessary to be offered a place at your chosen University.
All exams are to be conducted in person at examination centres – there is no option to complete your A Level exam or A Level resit online. There are, however, many ways to study A Level Maths online.
